L'ALFÀS DEL PI

L’Alfàs means ‘fertile land’ or ‘sown field’ in Arabic, and this town has been historically linked to the Barony of Polop.

L'Alfàs del Pí is a town situated on the Alicante coast within the comarca [local administrative area] of La Marina Baixa, 50 km away from the province capital city, Alicante, and 60 km away from El Altet international airport.

L’Alfàs fulfils all the requirements which define tourism excellence: an extraordinary climatology, service quality, a good and varied gastronomic offer, peace and tranquillity, and a wonderful relationship with the environment.

The possibility to alternate sea, countryside and mountain is an everyday reality here. Revelling in silence, walking as far as the Lighthouse in the Serra Gelada Natural Park, swimming or practising different sports on Albir Beach or enjoying a wide cultural and fun offer are some of the attractions which make make our town the ideal place for a land excursion or cultural route during a well-deserved holiday.

Serra Gelada [Frozen Mountain Range], a natural park since 2005, separates the bays of Benidorm and Altea. It additionally comprises four kilometres of coastline inside the municipality, where the beautiful rocky Albir Beach awarded with a European Union blue flag stands out. With an exceptional vegetation and more-than-300-metre-deep cliffs, its high value as a natural resource cannot be denied.
