CRUISE PORT OF CALL

The recently built port terminus has been designed especially for cruise passengers and the companies and services involved in this tourism. Any service is available enabling the running of all major cruises to Mediterranean. Located just 10 minutes walk from the city centre, it can guarantee the maximum security required by international regulations. An undercover footbridge provides travellers with easy access from the boat to the terminus. Moreover, there is a shuttle service to the city. As the airport is so nearby, only 12 km away, passengers travelling by car can link up quickly. In 2003 eight million passengers used the airport.

There are a variety of excursions cruise around Alicante to get to know its heritage, its history, landscapes and healthy Mediterranean gastronomy. Golf lovers may practise at any of 13 courses, all of which are no more than a few kilometres from the port. The Port of Alicante, cruise port of call, is an intrinsic part of the urban framework: promenades, beaches, shopping and leisure centres are all along the coast and around the terminal.
